Typical
Still trying to incorporate more brights into my winter looks... this look is suuuuuper typical of my work style. Classic navy trousers, white button down - funny how I put on this patterned scarf and bright orange bag and thought 'oh good, not so boring anymore!' Then I look at the pictures and think 'nope, still pretty boring' haha. :) What can I say? I can't exactly pull off cutting edge fashion in my office environment (at least without getting looked at like some kind of freak), but I try to make the best of it. :)
Ann Taylor Loft blouse and pants; NY&Co scarf; Banana Republic belt (similar); Zara shoes; Cynthia Rowley bag; Michael Kors watch; WHBM earrings (old); Charming Charlie's ring and bangles; Francesca's sunglasses; L'oreal Colour Riche lipcolor in Volcanic (similar)

I think you should get your freak on! Although I do think you look fabulous in this so called boring outfit! Do you read the blog This Time Tomorrow? She has lots of great "office friendly" outfits...perhaps some inspiration for you :)

PS. Have I told you how much I've been missing your posts lately...this slacking on your end is giving me bad withdrawal symptons!
This by far is not a boring work look at all! I LOVE the bright scarf, bag and those fabulous sunglasses! :)

Thank you for finally doing a new outfit post (for those of us who are stalkers and miss seeing your pretty face). Oh, and it's not boring at all, btw - loving that orange bag and I have the same lipstick shade (one of my faves)!

My first thought was "sharp", not "boring". I think "cutting edge" is often over-rated anyway. "Classics" carry the day in my world.
ReplyDeleteBTW... I think you should ignore the crazy looks and dress however you like. I think you have great style.

Not boring at all- classic. And I love the bag.
ReplyDeleteI have definitely been on the receiving end of some odd glances if I wear something too 'fashion forward' at the office. I try and keep it simple for the corporate world. And your outfit here is a perfect example of work appropriate but still very stylish! Love the sunglasses too!
ReplyDeleteThat lip color looks awesome with your skin tone!
ReplyDeleteMy typical look as well... navy pants almost every day. :) The accessories do spice it up! Love that lip color on you, ps.
ReplyDeleteI love this look - so chic! Fun accessories!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a perfect work look. I love it! I know it isn't totally crazy but perfect for the work environment. You always have the best lip color. Wish I could pull of something different without looking crazy!
ReplyDeleteVery classic -- not boring! Love the bag.
ReplyDeleteYou may not feel "fashion forward" but I think you are the epitome of chic in this!
