Finally... faux fur time!



I've been tweeting and blogging about various faux fur pieces that I've been coveting for months now in anticipation of cold weather. Wouldn't you know on the very first cold day of the year here, that is exactly what I wore. Another thing I'm crazy about this season is a wedge boot. I love these, they're surprisingly comfy and got them for a great price. Actually, this entire look was a complete bargain - this sweater is actually on sale at AT Loft right now. LOVE when I find more trendy items for a great price. I will drop some serious cash on an investment piece, but for a trend I venture toward the sale rack quite a bit more.

I'm sure you all have shopping strategies about this sort of thing. What types of items will you splurge on, and on which pieces do you prefer to save?? Tell!

    Love faux fur! I got so excited when I could finally start wearing my new vest. I always splurge on shoes. I spend my days walking around NYC so comfy shoes are a must. ~jen

    I think this might be one of my favorite outfits of yours so far! Those tights are perfect & I love the touch of leopard print! As for shopping strategies, I am very selective about what I will splurge on - it has to be something I will wear to death. Otherwise, I am hunting the clearance & sale racks like a stalker...love me a good deal!! :)

    Very stylish! I'm still a bit on the fence about faux fur, because sometimes you can see that it's poorly made, but yours looks nice. And it's better than real fur anyway!

    That faux fur sweater is gorgeous. I always try to wait for a sale, unless I'm under the gun and need it right away. I've noticed, clothing companies having more and more sales. However, you must take notice that prices sometimes fluctuate up and down. They sometimes raise the price and then offer a percentage off. So consumers really should be savvy when shopping and know when they're getting a good deal or not.
